Techtextil 2026 | Innovation Highlights

16/04/2026 - Insights

At Techtextil 2026, Beaulieu Fibres highlights six performance‑driven innovations that enhance existing and new market applications. Developed in close partnership with customers, these advanced fibre solutions improve performance, sustainability and material efficiency across industries including Filtration, Insulation, Automotive, Abrasives, Agrotextiles and Beverages. Showcased as eye‑catching displays,  these innovations demonstrate how Beaulieu Fibres turns expertise into tailored, real‑world solutions.

Insulation | Thermal bonding shortcut fibres for insulation boards

Our thermal bonding shortcut fibres for insulation deliver high-performance bonding for thermal and acoustic insulation applications. Each solution is tailored to the specific substrate being processed, whether wood fibre, cellulose, shredded textiles, or other (recycled) feedstocks. By matching fibre design to the base material and process, we help manufacturers achieve stronger, more stable mats and boards, reliable product consistency, and efficient processing at low activation temperatures. The result is a VOC- and water-free route that combines robust mechanical performance with low energy demand, reduced process complexity, and support for healthier, low-emission insulation systems.

Filtration | Fibre solution for thermobonded filter media

Our new fiber solution for thermobonded media is a breakthrough in air filtration media with a proprietary fiber-level innovation that significantly enhances the mechanical performance of thermobonded nonwovens. By engineering functionality directly at the fiber level, the new solution delivers substantially improved particle capture efficiency - particularly in the critical 1–10 µm range - while maintaining a favorable balance with airflow resistance and full compatibility with existing drylaid production processes. Compared to conventional bicomponent fiber media, the innovation demonstrates up to ~70% higher efficiency in key particle size ranges, without the need for additional fine-fiber layers or increased process complexity. This advancement enables cost-effective upgrading of HVAC filtration systems toward higher efficiency classes, supporting growing demands for improved indoor air quality while preserving the scalability, robustness, and sustainability advantages of thermobonded nonwoven technology.

Automotive | The Cleaner Car with low impact PP staple fibres

12 to 15% of any car is made of plastics. If you reduce the carbon footprint of these plastics, you will get a cleaner car. Beaulieu Fibres develops polymer fibres that have low carbon footprint, that are designed for recycling and that ensure compliance to the strictest regulatory and quality standards. These polymer fibres - primarily made from Polypropylene (PP) - are essential raw materials for producing nonwoven fabrics. Nonwovens, in turn, are used to create compression-moulded components found in many car interiors and structural parts. As a raw materials provider we believe we can help you make a difference.

Heat Sealable Paper | Asota PLA and PP shortcut fibres for tea and coffee applications

We are introducing a new sealing solution for heat‑sealable papers based on Asota PLA short‑cut fibres (2, 4, 6 mm), designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable tea bag and coffee pad production. These fibres deliver strong thermal bonding, essential for secure seals on high‑speed, automated packaging lines used for tea and coffee applications. By incorporating a biobased fibre system compatible with modern heat‑sealable paper technologies, our innovation supports the industry’s shift toward compostable and environmentally responsible materials, in line with the rising adoption of PLA‑based and other biobased heat‑seal papers in the beverage sector.

Abrasives | Asota PA6 and PA6.6 staple fibres for nonwoven abrasive materials

We are introducing a new Asota fibre innovation tailored for the abrasive market, engineered to enhance the performance and durability of nonwoven scouring materials. Thanks to its outstanding mechanical strength, the fibre structure supports high abrasive‑particle loading, enabling consistent cutting efficiency and long‑lasting aggression during cleaning or surface‑conditioning tasks. The fibres’ excellent heat and chemical resistance ensure stability under demanding conditions, from hot‑water environments to exposure to detergents and industrial cleaners. Custom colours to match your brand give this innovation both functional superiority and visual differentiation, making abrasive pads and scouring products more versatile than ever.

Geotextiles | Asota PLA staple fibres for nonwoven agrotextiles and geotextiles

We introduce a new generation of Asota PLA staple fibres designed for nonwoven agro- and geotextiles. Produced from renewable raw materials, they deliver a low‑impact, 100% biobased solution compatible with existing production lines, combining strong UV stability and reliable thermal bonding for outdoor applications. With tuneable deniers and cut lengths, this innovation enables manufacturers to engineer geotextiles with the mechanical strength, durability, and functional performance demanded by infrastructure, landscaping, and environmental protection projects.
